5 Important Things for This Week

DYK - Sometimes we are not aware of the structure at Celebration or the need for it.  Did you know that the deacon's have distinct and different areas of responsibility?  The Financial areas are led by Steve DuRose and Ranae Fifolt.  The Benevolence concerns are led by Pam Williamson and Roger Doctor.  The internal Ministries of Mercy are led by Marsha Dunning.  We thank God for our Deacons and their leadership!

1. Noteworthy Events
- SATURDAY, Independence Day
- SUNDAY, Strawberry Festival, Noon.
- MONDAY, Church Clean Up Night, 6:30PM.  We need to clean up some of the new construction area at church for the electricians to do their job next week.  Bring gloves and a broom if you have them.
MONDAY, Council Meeting, 6:30PM at church.
- MONDAY, Vision Team Meeting, 7:30PM at church.
July 8, Book Club. The next meeting will be at 6:30 pm at Mango's.  We're reading The Shortest Way Home by Juliette Fay.
- July 19, Mosaic Grill Out, Noon.
2.  Youth Ministries
- SUNDAY, Summer Sunday Nights, The 6th-12th grade students will gather at Calvin Church at 6:00PM before going to the Dethlof's for swimming, Bible study, and most importantly the food!  We will return to church at 8:30PM.
- July 11-18, Annual SERVE Project.  Calvin Church is home base and there is always places to connect: prayer partners, evening worship sessions, food prep and serving, work site coordination, etc.  Contact Pastor Matt for more info.

3.  Sunday
It seems that men have been reluctant to MAN UP and be the leaders that God has called them to be.  There are plenty of reasons but more are excuses.  Any organization rises and falls with the quality of its leadership.  So get ready to Man Up!  (The Reluctant Leader - Exodus 3-4)

4.  Recycle Your Bulletins
Please leave your unused bulletin on the table by the exit doors.  We will recycle them each week if you do not want to keep your bulletin.  Thanks.

5. Prayers
- Pray for Joe & Rachel (Pastor Matt's friend) whose newborn son Jack is having a tracheotomy procedure today.
- Pray for Unquenchable Fire Ministries located on Allen Street.  May God keep Pastor Terry Williams grounded in your word and focused on God's work.  May the people continue to grow in love for the people in the community and serve as a bridge between different cultures.
- Prayers for those feeling lonely.
- Pray for the police officers who uphold the law.  It is a difficult job to do.
Pray for guests this past Sunday who are searching for a new church home.
- Duane Gray will know in July if his foot has properly healed.  He needs to work so he can finish the renovations in his trailer.
Pray for those who are homeless in Muskegon.
Pray for Jackie Knight who is having pain in her right side and back.
- Ivy Dudgeon asks for prayers for her aunt Kathy who is having hip surgery in July.
- Pray for people who battle deep issues in their lives.  May God strengthen them.
Pray for those who are struggling with anxiety issues which "paralyze" them.
Pray for the wedding of Dan and Mattie on Saturday that Pastor Matt gets to officiate.
- Pray for those recovering from illness, injury, and medical procedures lately.
- Pray for those who have lost loved ones recently.  May God comfort them in their time of grief.
- Pray for the those struggling to make financial ends meet.
- Prayer of thanks for great healing conversations at church to rebuild trust in others. God is good!

- Pray for our elders and deacons as they lead the church as servants of God and his people.
- Pray for couples as they work through tough issues at their homes.
- Pray for continued patience during our time of construction.
- Pray for all who will be travelling over Summer vacations.
- Pray for all of the unspoken prayers on our hearts that only God knows.
- Pray for those making important life changes.  May God give them strength and boldness to face them and not run away.  May friends encourage them each step of the way.
- Pray for the plans to start new small groups in the fall.  May God lead us all into deeper community with other believers.
