5. SUNDAY
Our God cares about us.  That is a given.  But God cares about so many other things that we do not pay as much attention to.  Invite a friend Sunday as we continue our series Things God Cares About.  This week we talk about the highly charged subject that God cares about: "Children".

6. PRAYERS
Thank God for:
  • Received recently: "Praise God for [____] who has been going to church recently.  He was a 'cantankerous old man' but God has changed him over the last year.  When God changes a heart, the affects are not always seen all at once."
  • Praise God for the birth of Asher Maurice Workman!! Born at home on Monday weighing in at 6lbs 2oz!  Cassie and Asher will be at Hackley Hospital for a day or two more.
  • Jenny Merritt gives God thanks for the Muskegon Community Health Project for helping her with new glasses.  "I can see!  I am truly blessed!"
  • Becky Fredrickson who will "make it official" and become a member at Celebration.
  • Brenda Bush, a missionary in Mozambique Africa, thanks those who contributed love gifts this past month.  They were able to restore clean drinking water to over 40,000 people by repairing wells that had been damaged.

  • Those who recently received employment!  We celebrate with you.

  • For God's grace that sets people free.
  • Thank you God for the Church as a whole and its local location at Celebration.
Pray for:
  • Kim Rhodes asked for prayers for her husband Bill and his mom Beverly.  Beverly found out this past week that she has cancer.
  • Pastor Matt's friend Bishop Bankhead and family as his daughter Nicole is having brain surgery to relieve pressure.  Her vision has been affected.
  • Patty Lacy asked for healing of her back issues as her knee continues to heal.
  • The new small group which will begin next week Sunday after church.  Several people are quite excited to grow closer with others from Celebration and grow closer with God.
  • The stress on Celebration members in our efforts to "move in" to the new worship area. Pray that the Grand Opening be a great event for our community and for Celebration.

  • The frustrated who still look for work.
  • It has become more apparent each day how much we need to stay connected with Jesus as we go forward as a church seeking to make a difference in Muskegon.  Satan has been busy!  Pray for personal holiness of our leaders and our community.  May we press on toward the prize!

YAY! Occupancy Permit!!!

We officially have an occupancy permit to worship in our new worship area!  Wahoo!  As of this morning, we received the final inspection approval for our building project.  Over the past 18+ years, I am sure there were times when this was merely a distant dream.  Today we praise our great God who has allowed this to become reality!

Our plans are to worship in our new space within a few weeks but our Grand Opening will be on Sunday, December 13.  We have already begun transferring lights and AV equipment.  You have been very patient to this point and I know you will continue to be patient with this process too!  Continue to pray for this area to become home for many who need Jesus!

4. WORLD RENEW GIFT CATALOG
Most of us do not want to talk about Christmas yet but you may be thinking of gifts by now.  Here is an idea: Instead of giving each other gifts you may not want or even need, commit as a family to support a missionary, help a family get out of poverty, bless a village with bees or a new well or a latrine.  Christmas is for giving.  Think outside of your own box!  Here is a catalog to help.  http://catalog-us.worldrenew.net/aspx/ProductCategories
