YAY! Occupancy Permit!!!

We officially have an occupancy permit to worship in our new worship area!  Wahoo!  As of this morning, we received the final inspection approval for our building project.  Over the past 18+ years, I am sure there were times when this was merely a distant dream.  Today we praise our great God who has allowed this to become reality!

Our plans are to worship in our new space within a few weeks but our Grand Opening will be on Sunday, December 13.  We have already begun transferring lights and AV equipment.  You have been very patient to this point and I know you will continue to be patient with this process too!  Continue to pray for this area to become home for many who need Jesus!

1. CALENDAR EVENTS
- SUNDAY, Group Life Information Meeting, after church.  We want people to grow closer to God and with others at Celebration.  Find out how at this meeting.

Our student ministries will meet at 1191 Sanford to work with Community Encompass in the McLaughlin Neighborhood.  Do not meet at Calvin Church!  Bring: clothes that can get dirty and painting supplies if you have them (brush, roller, etc..) We will be painting, cleaning up, and raking at two homes.
SUNDAY, High School Youth Group at Calvin Church, 6:00-8:30PM. Dinner is provided.  Contact Pastor Matt for more details.

3. SUNDAY
Our God cares about us.  That is a given.  But God cares about so many other things that we do not pay as much attention to.  Invite a friend Sunday as we continue our series Things God Cares About.  This week we talk about the highly charged subject that God cares about: "Homosexuals".

4. WORLD RENEW GIFT CATALOG
Most of us do not want to talk about Christmas yet but you may be thinking of gifts by now.  Here is an idea: Instead of giving each other gifts you may not want or even need, commit as a family to support a missionary, help a family get out of poverty, bless a village with bees or a new well or a latrine.  Christmas is for giving.  Think outside of your own box!  Here is a catalog to help.  http://catalog-us.worldrenew.net/aspx/ProductCategories

5. PRAYERS
Thank God for:
  • Our occupancy permit for our new Worship Area!
  • God's mercy he gives us when we least deserve it.
  • The guests God he has brought to Celebration this past month.
  • For God's grace that sets people free.
  • Thank you God for the Church as a whole and its local location at Celebration.
Pray for:
  • Brenda Bush, a missionary in Mozambique Africa, thanks those who contributed love gifts this past month.  They were able to restore clean drinking water to over 40,000 people by repairing wells that had been damaged.
  • Pray for the people of Church of God-Holy Faith and their Pastor Manasseh Bankhead.  May God keep them full of his Spirit as they shine the love of Jesus in Muskegon.
  • The Grand Opening scheduled for Sunday, December 13.
  • Duane Gray had 9 teeth pulled and is dealing with the swelling and pain before the dentures in January.
  • Our "Snow Birds" who are heading south for the winter. The Hazelmeyer's and Schossau's have left this week or will soon.  May God bless their time in the sun and may they be a blessing to others.
  • Families who need healing, whether it be financial, spiritual or physical.
  • People who have been affected by Hurricane Patricia.
  • Those affected by abuse and domestic violence.  May God give them protection and strength to remove themselves from their situation.
  • The frustrated who still look for work.
  • The workers of MOKA who clean our church.  They’re a blessing to us!
  • Emma Orr, the 7 year old daughter of Chuck and Pam Serene's friend.  May God heal her cancer.
  • Family members who don't know Jesus.
  • Pray for people looking for ways to grow in their journey with Jesus.
  • Those who recently received employment!  We celebrate with you.
  • Friends who have many faith questions.  May they find peace, comfort, and purpose in a relationship with Jesus.
  • Those battling their addictions.
  • Those struggling with forgiveness.
  • All of the unspoken prayers on our hearts that only God knows.
