Each Layette is put together with great care for the new mother. Drop off items before or after the morning worship.

2. Choir

Interested in singing on Maundy Thursday? Choir practice will be held at Church of God-Holy Faith at 6PM on April 3rd and 10th. The worship service will be on Thursday, April 17 at the same church. Contact Pastor Matt for more details.

3. Prayer Ministry:
- Muskegon Prayer Initiative - We as a church will be praying on the 24th of each month with our sister church, 2nd Timothy. Join us to pray 1/2 hour or 1 hour shifts. Sign up at the info booth and get a magnet for your reminder

- Prayer Board - Thanks for writing on the Prayer Board in the hallway between the nurseries. We will be praying for you and your needs!

4. Education:
- Sunday School - There will be no Sunday School for the next 3 Sundays. We will resume on April 27.
- No student ministries at Calvin CRC this week for Little Peeps, GEMS, or Cadets due to Spring Break.
- High School students meet at Calvin CRC at 6:00PM Sunday.

5. Sunday
Ever think of heaven? Does it impact you life in the present? Do you have comfort for your life in the future? Invite a friend Sunday as we talk about "Life everlasting, Amen!" (Revelation 21:1-5)

6. Prayers - Please pray for:
- Nikki Rowell who broke her tailbone this past week.
- Brenda Grabinski's KNEE is getting replaced, not her back as I erroneously put in the bulletin.
- Paula Espinoza's sister is looking for a job. She also gives praise for God's provision!
- A visitor asked for prayers for her mom who is depressed and homeless.
- Pray for Karmen Kraft (friend of Kim Rhodes) whose husband had emergency open heart surgery this past week. Bev Rhodes (mother in law) is in a lot of pain at Hackley hospital after the removal of a kidney.
- "That our Celebration family and loved ones seek Christ-like ways and open our hearts to be filled with the Spirit and let God take control. Amen."

Celebration Midweek

Here are 7 important items to know this week at Celebration:

1. Layette Ministry - Thanks so much for getting supplies for these newborn starter kits"! We are blown away by your support! How can you help? Visit your neighborhood yard sales and ask if they would donate gently used baby clothes for the Layette Ministry. Then see what God will do!

2. Carnival - Sign up in the entry way poster for helping out at the carnival on September 28. We are also in need of specific supplies! Contact Julie for more info.

3. Church Loan - In case you did not know, we now own our building! After 15 years of existence, Celebration now has a home base from which to launch into the community! Thanks to the Bigger Better Boat Team and other leaders for helping make this a reality!

4. College students - This Sunday we plan to "send off" our college students with God's and our blessing. Our college students are: Kadance Ribbens, Nicki Ribbens, Brandon Rowell, Adam Irish. Am I missing anyone?

5. Leaders - Sunday we hope to formally welcome our new leaders who were selected in June. They are: Doug Bergman and Sue DeBoer as Elders; Reyes Hinajosa to AMT; Marsha Dunning and Steve DuRose to the Finance Team; Cassie Workman to CSR. Continue to pray for our leaders as they serve this year.

6. Prayers - Please be in prayer for:
- The Glaser family. Amy’s father, Jack Southland has passed away. Son and daughter-in-law of Tim and Nancy Bosma.
- Paula Espinoza’s friend, Carla. She is now starting radiation and chemo. Pray for her comfort and healing.
- The Dobson family. We have prayed for them in the past as wife and mother Terri Dobson was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Please continue to pray for peace and comfort for her family as she has gone on to be with Jesus. Her husband Wil is the friend of Holly Ribbens. Terri and Wil’s children are 11 and 8.
- The DeJonge family as they continue to seek clarity for Rob’s job, home and education.
- The Celebration Church family. Pray for healing, strength, and discernment.
- Cheryl was able to visit Jena and she is improving. Her outlook seems better and she is working through her program again. Please continue to pray for Jena’s peace and the comfort that only Christ can provide.

7. Thankful - I get to rub shoulders with lots of pastors. Some easily talk about the "hard headed" people in their church or the many challenges with their church.   Mostly, I find it easy to talk about the great people of Celebration that drew me to Muskegon. Not to say that we do not have challenges but I have the mindset of the Apostle Paul to the Philippian Church. He was their pastor but also their partner in ministry. God is working at Celebration and I am so glad to be part of it with everyone! For that I thank God every time!

"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:3-6)

Celebration Midweek

Here are 5 things that you should know this week!

1. SERVE - You are invited each night of this week to Calvin CRC for SERVE which includes worship by Alex Ribbens and many others from the Ribbens clan, an update by students as to their work in Muskegon during the day, and a message by their speaker for the week. I think it will be worth the time!

2. Layette Ministry - Kathy Meyer wishes to thank all those who helped packing the Layettes (starter kits for new moms). It was great to see all of the clothes, diapers, and other baby care items. Keep them coming!

3. Pulpit Swap - Our visit to 2 Timothy Church after the morning worship was moved to Sunday, July 21st to better accommodates their schedule. Rev. Bass and his church will worship with us on Sunday, August 11. I am looking forward to a great time with them!

4. First CRC Final Celebration - Seeking to give thanks and praise to God’s faithfulness for 146 years of ministry in Muskegon, First CRC would like to invite all former members and friends to join us in a final celebration service on September 15 at 9:30am. Dinner and program will follow. Please RSVP for the dinner to 231-773-1752 or firstcrcmuskegon@frontier.com by September 1.

5. You Were Adopted! - Normally these words are not received well. Invite someone Sunday as we tackle the great news of being adopted by God! (Ephesians 1:3-6)

6.
There are many things that happen during a pastor's day.  Some days are pleasant whiles others are filled with greater challenges.  This week has been full of conversations with great leaders, encouragement that was given and received, challenges that were met from a framework of love and care for others, and a re-focusing on the gospel as the main purpose for Celebration Community Church.  Just another reason as to why I love my church!

Celebration over the 4th!

Good afternoon Celebration! It was a good time away for the Eenigenburgs and I can honestly say that I looked forward to seeing everyone again. I think that is the sign of a good vacation!

Here are some important notes for the week:

1. Care Teams - In order to better meet the needs of the people at Celebration, we have made the following groups that the elders will serve as leaders. The Care Teams are made by last names:
A-C = Susan DeBoer
D-K = Marc Baird
L-R = Doug Bergman
S-Z = Sue Vredevoogd
Contact your elder or Pastor Matt if you have any questions.

2. Pulpit Swap on July 14 & August 11 - We have made plans to worship with 2 Timothy Church on Getty Street. Pastor Matt will leave after our worship service on Sunday, July 14 to preach at 2 Timothy and Reverend Bass and his congregation will visit Celebration on August 11. Everyone is welcome to be part of the service on the 14th.

3. FAITH Unfolded Series - "Theology doesn't divide churches; people divide churches."  Over the next few weeks we are going to dig into some foundational Biblical truths that shape our understanding of God, our perspective of ourselves, and our interactions with the people around us.  CAUTION: You may be invited to actually use your brains and think at church the next few weeks!

4. Layette Ministry - Next Tuesday, July 9th at 10 am we will put together layettes for new moms. We are in need of items which include: wipes, baby lotion and wash, powder and diapers. Pick up some of these items and bring them to church on Sunday so we can get them packed up on Tuesday!

- For Sue Vredevoogd's brother in law has 5 bypass surgery today.
- For Doug Bergman's brother had surgery and it went well but there is more surgeries coming for him.

- For the many broken marriages and relationships all around us that need healing.
- For Jena as she is struggling right now in her placement.
- For the Meyer family as they are facing some challenges and changes in their household.
- For Jenny Merritt's father as he battles cancer.
