Father's Day La-Z-Boy Raffle

FATHER'S DAY LA-Z-BOY RAFFLE - During the service this Sunday, we will have a raffle for all men!  (Fathers, fathers to be, people who have acted like fathers for us.)  The winner will get to use a La-Z-Boy chair for the remainder of the service.  There is no cost to the raffle but you must be present during the announcements to win!  Big thanks to Langlois and Bob Dunning for helping with the arrangements!

June 15, Dream Team Meeting, 5:00PM at Church.
June 18, La-Z-Boy Raffle and Communion, during the service!
June 18, Father's Day Strawberry Festival, after church.
June 21, Baby Basics, 10:00AM.
June 21, Women's Bible Study, 10:30AM.  We continue in "1000 Gifts" by Ann Voskamp.
June 21, The New Small Group Picnic, 5:30PM at Margaret Drake Elliot Park.
July 9, Summer Hot Dog Roast after the morning worship.
July 9, Youth Group Event at Cerminaro's, 6:00-8:30PM
July 19, Book Club, 6:30PM at Grand Traverse Pie Company.  The book will be  "Broken For You"  by Stephanie Kallos.
Aug. 9, Unity Fest Free Day, 5:00-10:00PM.

2. YOU'RE INVITED! - Our graduates would like to invite you to their open houses and are saving paper by using this email.  Sarah Serene's Open House is at church on Sunday, June 18 from 2-4PM.  Serena Schultz's open house is at church on Saturday, June 24 from 1-4PM.  We are so proud of you both!

3. PRAYERS
Remember, each prayer request, even ones with no names listed, come from an real persons.  Keep the person behind the request in your prayers to God.
Prayer Focus: Congo
  • Pray for a pure Gospel to be proclaimed that is devoid of syncretism and heresy.
  • Pray for the Church to recapture the vision for evangelism of the entire country.
  • Pray for an expansion of ministries that equip youth to decisively impact the nation for Christ.

Local Prayers:
  • Pray for those facing bleak financial situations.
  • Pray for Matthew DuRose's trip to Wahington DC next week.
  • Pray for Reyes Hinajosa's cousin Paul who was in a motercycle accident and is in ICU.
  • Pray for those with incurable illnesses.
  • Pray for those who are being bullied.
  • Pray for Jill Bennett who is at Sanctuary at McCauley but hopes to return home soon.
  • Pray for Lisa Crabtree and family whose dad passed away last week.  There will be a Memorial service today at 3:00PM at the Sytsema Funeral Home on Harvey Street.
  • Praise God for Greg and Sandy Hazelmyer's son-in-law whose PET scan showed no more evidence of cancer in his body!
  • Pray for the CRC Synod which meets this week.  May God give his guidance, wisdom, and unity to the leadership of the denomination.
  • Continue to pray for Wayne Kittle as he still is having balance issues.
  • Pray that we may spread God's love to others, especially our children.
  • Praise God for friends and family to get us through the tough times.
  • Pray for healthy pregnancys.
  • Pray for our president and other governmental leaders.
  • Pray for the leadership of Celebration.
  • Praise God for Pam Serene's friend, Emma Orr, whose recent scans sho no cancerous tumors.
  • Pray for those who struggle with depression.
  • Praise God for servant hearts and those who willingly help out at Celebration!
  • Praise God for Mike Straley's safe return from Utah and healing from pnuemonia.
  • Pray for peace and loving relationships within families.
  • Pray for those who have lost jobs recently.
  • Pray for wisdom to seek God in all the changes in life
  • Pray for those seeking reconciliation and healing with family members.
  • Pray for marriages which need God's loving touch.
  • Pray for all those who are hurting and dealing with abuse.
  • For people in ministry to not grow weary in their work but look to God for strength.
